FRESH FROM MY ORGANIC FARM
My farm is located in the rolling hills of Northwest Connecticut. It is a market garden sized to be farmed by one woman using no-till intensive farming practices. Crops include strawberries, peaches and vegetables for a 14- week CSA for my CrossFit community, salad ingredients for prepared salads delivered weekly to The Smithy from June into the winter season, as well as strawberries and three varieties of peas sold to several local stores.
ABOUT MY ORGANIC FARM
For the 2019 growing season, I expect to pick strawberries from July - October(and am very much hoping for a less rainy and hot August than last year!). I'm also trialing several new greens, squash and beans in order to have early summer and fall salads as well as the variety necessary to keep my CSA community happy and healthy. I am continuing to build my soil health as a means of combating pests as well as providing a more nutrient-dense product. Creating a sustainable one-woman farm that offers the best crops I can produce continues to be my number one goal year over year.
